Cultural Aspects Presentation

For one of the classes of the course we had to choose a county and talk about some cultural aspect that we wanted to. My partner Ariel and I decided to talk about India, check out some of the information that we presented. 

LANGUAGE

India doesn´t have a national language. In 2007 the Constitution of India recognized as Official languages the Hindi, English and 22 other languages such as Indian French and Indian English. 

Hindi serves as the lingua franca acroos mucho of the North and Central India. 
422 million of people recognized Hindi as their native language.

English is use in higher education and in some areas of the Indian Goverment. 



FESTIVALS OR HOLIDAYS


Independece Day (August 15th, 1947)
Republic Day (January 26th)
Gandhi´s Birthday October 2nd)

Indians are the creators of the Holi Day Festival. They celebrated in the full-moon day in February-March, the party is for the change from winter to spring and people also celebrate de return of color tu nature. 


RELIGION


Religious Tolerance
Fundamental rights within the Indian Culture
Gods, Goddnesses and Gurus 

CUISINE 

we didn´t know that the traditional banan chips that we eat are one of the most popular dishes in India. 



MARRIAGES 

Arranged marriages have been the tradition in Indian Society. Even today, the majority of Indians have their marriages planned by their parents.
The average age of marriage for women in India has increased to 21 years old, on 2009 about 7% of women got married before the age of 18. 




BOLLYWOOD 
An Alias for the Hindi Cinema
It is one of the largest industries in the world
